How far in advance should I order?

We recommend ordering at least 3–4 weeks before your ceremony date. For international orders, 4–6 weeks is ideal. Write to us at orders@pataaree.com if you need an express timeline.

Can you ship directly to a family member in India?

Yes. Many of our customers order from abroad and ship directly to family in India ahead of the ceremony. We ship across India as well as to 20+ countries internationally.

What does each piece do during the Roka?

The Tray with Cover carries the gifts into the room. The Thaal with Cover is for the formal presentation before the families. The Tray Tissue Basket holds the dry fruits and mithai. The Barfi Box with Slots keeps each piece of barfi intact. The Jewellery Box and the Single Kada Box hold gifts for the bride or groom. The Bidh Potli carries the bidh, and the three Shagun Envelopes carry the cash blessing that is placed in the hands of the family.

Is this suitable as a gift from the boy's family to the girl's family?

Yes. The Zehra Roka Ritual Set is assembled with the Roka in mind, for the family arriving at the other family's home. It works equally well in either direction — the pieces are the same, only the hands that carry them change. Many families order two, one for each side of the exchange.

Can I customise the colour, or add something not included in this set?
